Yes - donuts get their own day! So that means that there are free donuts to have tomorrow! Yum! Take an extra long workout today because donuts are so worth the calories!
Donut Day began in 1938 and is the first Friday in June every year. It began as a way to honor the women who served donuts to soldiers during WWI.
Here's what's happening:
Dunkin Donuts - free donut with the purchase of a beverage. I hope this is not a "participation may vary" thing. My Dunkin Donuts never participate. Funny thing is though, that you can always get a free donut with the purchase of a beverage at DD. Look on the bottom of your receipt for a website to fill out a survey - they will give you a code to write on your receipt valid for a free donut.
Krispy Kreme - ah! How refreshing - they offer a PDF of participating stores. Looks as if their donuts are just free - no other purchase required!
